Brand new small animal practice seeking dependable, hard-working and friendly Veterinary Technicians. We provide our clients with professional, compassionate and ethical care. The practice is located in Driftwood, Texas, 35 minutes from downtown Austin. The estimated start date for the position is January 4th.

 

Technician experience is required. Ideally, a strong candidate should have two years of experience working in small animal clinics. Strong benefit package, great work environment and team atmosphere.

Job Schedule: Full Time schedule (40 hours): Mondays - Fridays

Compensation: BOE

Resume and two references will be required.

Job Duties:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatment.
- Dog and cat handling/restraint during examinations and treatment.
- Display competency with practice management software (100% paperless clinic)
- Perform or assist with diagnostics (x-rays, blood/urine/fecal tests).
- Collect and deliver lab samples.
- Fill prescriptions for clients and process payments
- Daily cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Restock exam rooms and pharmacy.
- Communicate with clients and doctors.
- Prepare and maintain various records and reports.
- Assist as needed with the care of dogs and cats housed at the clinic, including feeding/watering, cleaning kennels, holding areas, yard areas, and general housekeeping duties.
- This position does require some cleaning duties; it is very important the clinic stay clean visually.

NOTES:
2 openings.

Additional Salary Information: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
