Skills/Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary school

• Active, non-restricted veterinary license in Texas

• A passion for building a trusting relationship with clients, colleagues, and community

• Committed to ongoing personal education
• Strong interest in surgery is preferred
• Works well with a team and individually
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

We are Privately Owned and Operated! Austin Veterinary Diagnostic Hospital (AVDH) has been proudly serving our community since 1977, AVDH is a special place for many of central Texas pet parents – we offer top quality medical care for small animals and have been AAHA accredited for 26 years. Our hospital is very fast paced! We are family owned with the top-quality medicine you expect from AVDH. We are open 6 days a week and see a mix of scheduled appointments like wellness and general practice visits with an emphasis on very sick pets and emergencies. Onsite we have a full technology suite including CAT scan, ultrasound, digital x-ray and endoscope. We have extensive experience with surgery including: gallbladder removal, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic and specialty surgeries. We have a full lab with a dedicated Lab technician to get you results quickly. Our hospital has an Open Hospital policy which allows pet parents to move through the hospital with their pets. This is a unique experience that helps our patients and clients feel more comfortable and supported, and it enriches the practice of our incredible clinical teams. Support and encouragement – as well as mentorship and collaboration – are the cornerstones at AVDH.
